Wadi Rum desert has a lot of different camps. There are some luxury ones and a lot of simple, cheaper options. Only local bedouins who were born and raised in the area can build their camps in Wadi Rum. Most of them also have houses in Rum village. This is the camp in Wadi Rum desert where I was staying during my trip in Jordan:
